Extended Thursday Hours Begin September 3rd
Starting Thursday, September 3rd, the Wonders Center will offer extended Thursday hours from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., giving families another opportunity to visit after school or work. The extended schedule makes it easier to enjoy an afternoon or evening at the museum.
Cars & Coffee in Christ, September 13th
Car enthusiasts, families, and those looking for a meaningful Sunday morning gathering are invited to Cars & Coffee in Christ, a free event at the Wonders Center & Science Museum on Sunday, September 13, from 7 to 10 a.m. Visitors can bring their classics, exotics, rat rods, or motorcycles, or simply come out to see the cars and enjoy the morning.
The event will feature gourmet coffee, along with a short worship session and a short message inside the Wonders Center. It’s designed to be a relaxed morning with plenty of time for attendees to make a service afterwards or stay and visit the Wonders Center. The Wonders Center will open early on the 13th, from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., allowing visitors to head straight inside and enjoy the museum after the car show. Coming October 18th: HARD RESET
On October 18, 2026, the Wonders Center will open HARD RESET, an immersive, four-room escape game and the first of its kind in the greater Nashville area. The 60-minute thriller centers around a rogue artificial intelligence that has seized control of the nation’s defenses. Players must move through four fully built environments, restore a crippled spacecraft, outsmart the machine, and determine who they can trust before time runs out.
Each game is limited to eight people and is perfect for teens and young adults. Unlike a typical single room escape game, the experience takes players through four connected rooms. “We wanted to build something that would genuinely surprise people,” said David Rives, founder and director of the Wonders Center & Science Museum. “Everyone’s talking about what machines can do. HARD RESET is a reminder that human creativity, instinct, and teamwork can still outmatch the smartest computer in the room. The only thing it can’t hack is you.” Located inside the Wonders Center, HARD RESET can be paired with a museum visit or planetarium show, and guests can grab coffee at the on-site Java Man Café before the game begins.
